What makes Drama with Hannah-Rose different from other drama classes?

At Drama with Hannah-Rose, we introduce children to drama skills in a fun, imaginative and age-appropriate way. Through storytelling, roleplay, character work, improvisation and creative adventures, children develop confidence, communication, creativity and teamwork – all while learning the foundations of drama.

We believe drama at this age should be about much more than preparing for a performance. Our classes give children the freedom to explore ideas, make creative choices and build their skills at their own pace, without the pressure of having to perform on stage.

Do you offer a trial class for new students?

Yes! New students can book a two-week trial to come along, experience the classes and see if they’re the right fit before committing to the rest of the term. The trial costs the same as two individual classes and can be booked through the link on our Classes page.

What’s your refund policy?

If your plans change and you’re unable to attend a class or workshop, we can offer a credit voucher when we’re given at least four weeks’ notice. This can be used towards another Drama with Hannah-Rose class or workshop. We do not offer refunds.

Do I have to book a block of classes, or can I pay as I go?

Our weekly classes are booked by the term rather than on a pay-as-you-go basis. Having a consistent group each week helps children get to know one another, build confidence and feel part of the class, as well as allowing us to develop their drama skills throughout the term.

New students can book a two-week trial before deciding whether they’d like to continue for the remainder of the term.

Can parents stay and watch the classes?

This depends on the age group and activity. Some of our younger classes involve parents and carers joining in, while our older classes and many of our workshops are drop-off sessions.

You’ll find the parent/carer arrangements for each class or workshop on its individual booking page.

Can I join a class mid-term?

Absolutely! As long as there is space in the class, children are welcome to join us at any point during the term. Simply select your preferred start date when booking.

Do you offer a sibling discount?

Yes! We offer 25% off for a second sibling attending our weekly classes. This discount applies to classes rather than workshops. Please get in touch for the sibling discount code.

From what age do you take students?

Our weekly drama classes are for children from 2 years old up to Year 3, while our holiday workshops and special events are available for children aged 2–10 years, depending on the event.

We also offer LAMDA tuition for children and young people up to 18 years old.

For older children looking for regular weekly drama classes, we recommend Young Theatre Makers at Tobacco Factory Theatres.

Do you accept childcare vouchers?

Unfortunately, we’re not currently able to accept childcare vouchers.

Who runs your classes?

Our classes are led by our team of experienced drama facilitators, supported by assistant facilitators where appropriate. Our team undertake Enhanced DBS checks and regular safeguarding training, and we place a strong emphasis on creating a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for every child.

What are your ratios for full-day holiday workshops?

For our full-day drop-off holiday workshops, we work to a maximum ratio of one adult to every eight children, helping us make sure children are well supported throughout the day.

Are your classes gender expansive?

Yes. It’s really important to us that every child feels free to explore characters, stories and imaginative play without being limited by gender stereotypes.

Our dressing-up costumes are available to everyone and aren’t labelled as being for particular genders. Children are encouraged to choose the characters, costumes and roles that appeal to them and to use their imaginations freely.
